Bones found at Sydney construction site in Cremor

Police have confirmed the results of forensic testing after a shocking find at a Sydney construction site.

Forensic testing has confirmed the bones that were found at a construction site in Sydney’s north do not belong to a human.

NSW Police were called to a construction site on South Creek Rd, Cromer about 10.45am on Wednesday after a “number of bones were excavated”.

However, following confirmation of the result, police have ended their investigations.

“A forensic examination has determined the bones located in Cromer yesterday are not human,” read a statement from NSW Police.

“No further police investigation will take place.”

Earlier on Thursday, police were seen outside a motor vehicle repair business that remained open.

The Cromer site is about 1km away from Cromer High School, where convicted murderer Chris Dawson worked as a sports teacher in 1979.

The now 75-year-old was found guilty of murdering his wife Lynette Sims; however, her body has never been found following her disappearance in January 1982.
