A man has died after being crushed by a forklift in a horrific incident at a western Sydney business.

A man has died after being trapped under a forklift at a western Sydney business.

Police were called to the premises of a water treatment company on Charles Street in St Mary’s around 6.40am after receiving reports of a serious workplace accident.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found that a man had died at the scene.

Safe Work NSW have been advised of the incident and are investigating the circumstances that led up to the man’s death.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
