A young taxi driver has lost his licence after crashing into the front yard of a Sydney home.
Emergency services were called to Bayview Place in Sydney’s northern beaches about 5.50pm on Sunday following reports a taxi had crashed into a fence.
The 26-year-old taxi driver allegedly returned a positive result when breath tested and was arrested and taken to Mona Vale Police Station.
He then allegedly returned a high-range reading when breath tested again at the station.
“The man was issued with a court attendance notice for high-range drink-driving and negligent driving,” police said.
“His licence has been suspended.”
The man will appear in Manly Local Court on April 3.
