Mid North Coast floods: Fourth person dies, one missing as NSW floods wreak havoc
Four people have died in floodwaters in northern NSW and the last missing person has been located safe. Meanwhile thousand remain cut off in northern NSW, as parts of the Central Coast evacuate and low-lying areas in Sydney are on alert.
NSW is holding its breath through another night as the state faces one of its worst flooding emergencies in decades, with the rainfalls and rising water levels now moving south to Sydney.
Approximately 50,000 people have been left isolated across the Mid North Coast, Hunter and North Coast, while residents in some Central Coast areas have been told to move to higher ground, and some in southwest Sydney areas have been told to watch for alerts and prepare to evacuate if necessary.
Our Friday live blog has now closed.
