A LAKE Macquarie gym instructor has been arrested in front of his clients and charged with large-scale drug supply as $100,000, a BMW and drugs were seized.
Steve Gavin, 35, was arrested at the Powerhouse CrossFit gym in Morisset on Tuesday following a year-long investigation by the Drug Squad into ice dealing on the Central Coast and Lower Hunter Region.
Gavin and a 28-year-old man were arrested at two separate Morisset addresses by Strike Force Dunrossil detectives assisted by the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor and Lake Macquarie.
Police raided five at homes in Cooranbong, Bolcolyn, Eraring, Terrigal, and Sunshine, and the two Morisset businesses.
Officers seized more than $100,000 cash, ice, cocaine, steroids, prohibited weapons, mobile phones, business documents and a BMW X5.
Gavin was charged with two counts of commercial drug supply.
He was refuse bail in Toronto Local Court on Thursday to reappear on March 1.
The 28-year old man was charged with two counts of drug supply and recklessly dealing in the proceeds of crime.
He was granted bail by police to appear at Toronto Local Court on January 24.
