Woman dead after stabbing at Sydney property, man arrested

Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found with multiple stab wounds at a property in Sydney’s north west. A man has since been arrested.

A woman has died after being stabbed multiple times at a home in Sydney’s north west.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Ingleby Street, Oatlands, just before 5pm Monday.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where she later died.

A 25-year-old man, who was known to the woman, was arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station for questioning.

Another man, also known to the woman, was treated nearby a minor injury.

It is understood he was inside the home when the arrested man arrived and was the one who raised the alarm.

Police say he does not require further treatment.

Investigations are continuing.
