Woman stabbed to death at home in Sydney’s west

A MUCH-LOVED mother-of-two has been named as the victim of a brutal and fatal stabbing in Sydney’s southwest this morning.

A MAN has now been charged after a mother-of two was allegedly stabbed to death in home in southwest Sydney in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services found Erana Nahu, 43, with stab wounds at the home on Grahame Avenue, Glenfield, after being called there at 2am today. She died at the scene despite efforts to save her.

A 58-year-old man — who police say is her partner —was arrested at the home and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with murder. He will appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.

One neighbour told The Daily Telegrapheverybody in the area knew the popular mother.

“(Erana) was a friend of mine, she was beautiful, she was the first person who we knew when we moved into the area,” she said.

“It’s not fair. There’s two babies who are not going to grow up without their mum.”

It comes after a man was stabbed to death in Sydney’s west yesterday.

Emergency services were called to a home on Meroo Street, Blacktown, about 5.20pm after reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers performed CPR on the man, aged in his 40s, until paramedics arrived, but he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

A 50-year-old woman, who known to the man, was arrested at another home on Meroo Street.

She has been taken to Blacktown Police Station where she is being questioned by police.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command have established a crime scene.

As investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue, police urge any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
