Three men charged after cops smash alleged secret drug lab in Sydney’s west
Three men have been charged after police smashed an alleged drug ring and clandestine lab being run out of an ordinary apartment.
Police have smashed a drug ring operating out of two homes in Sydney’s west, with a massive haul seized from a clandestine drug lab in an ordinary apartment.
Three men are now facing serious charges after officers allegedly found 80kg of marijuana between the two homes.
A NSW Police spokesman said officers with Raptor Squad first executed a search warrant on a home on Eric Cres in Lidcombe, just after 6pm on Wednesday.
They allegedly discovered about 30kg of marijuana, as well as items indicating the home was being used as a drug lab.
The set-up had to be dismantled by a NSW Fire & Rescue hazmat team.
Two men, aged 26 and 27, were arrested at the scene and taken to Auburn Police Station.
At 9.15pm that same night, police also executed a search warrant at a property on Cyril Pl, Baulkham Hills.

It is alleged another 50kg of suspected marijuana was found, along with small amounts of cocaine and methylamphetamine.
A 41-year-old man was arrested at that property.
All three men were refused bail ahead of appearances in Burwood Local Court on Thursday, charged with supplying prohibited drugs of a commercial quantity, and participating in a criminal group.
