Three armed men terrorise staff, pregnant woman at Sydney pub
A pregnant bartender was dragged through a Sydney pub with a gun to her head in an attack described by police as “gutless”.
Brooke Rankmore was behind the bar in the beer garden at Sydney’s Regents Park Hotel on an otherwise quiet Sunday morning when all hell broke loose.
The 24-year-old, who is 16 weeks pregnant, was confronted about 10.30am by three men who entered through a side gate brandishing guns and knives.
Police say the men dragged a terrified Ms Rankmore through the premises in Sydney’s west while the men held a gun to her head and a knife to her back.
She was made to open a till and hand over cash, while a second staff member was told to open the hotel’s locked safe where more money was handed over.
NSW Police Inspector Craig Miller told reporters it was a “gutless attack”.
“It’s certainly a traumatic incident. A gutless attack by those involved,” he said.
“We’re looking for information. If someone can help us out, we’ll do the rest.”
The three attackers are still on the loose. They were wearing masks over their faces and dark coloured clothing at the time of the attack. Their movements have been captured on the hotel’s CCTV cameras, and police are going over that footage for any clues.

Nine News reported Ms Rankmore told the men she was pregnant. One of the men responded, “I don’t care,” she said.
Outside the pub, a distressed Ms Rankmore was comforted by her mother.
Police say one patron was inside the hotel at the time of the attack, and there were no security guards at the venue.
The venue’s owner told reporters Ms Rankmore was doing well despite the attack.
