Teen dies in stabbing attack in NSW as police search for killers

A 17-year-old boy has died in a shocking stabbing attack with police hunting for the killer.

A teenage boy has died after he was stabbed in a targeted attack in northern NSW.

The boy was found with stab wounds at a home on McDougall Street in Casino, about 1.20am on Saturday.

The teen — who is yet to be formally identified but is understood to be 17 — died at the scene despite police and paramedics working to save him.

“Initial inquiries suggest the incident is targeted,” NSW Police said in a statement.

A crime scene has been established and a search of the area surrounding the property is underway with the dog squad assisting.
