A doctor has been refused bail after he allegedly sexually assaulted two patients in separate appointments.

A doctor has been charged after he allegedly sexually assaulted two patients during separate consults.

Police will allege a 28-year-old woman was indecently assaulted at an Arncliffe medical centre during a consultation on June 4.

A 19-year-old woman was also allegedly sexually assaulted during a consult at the same medical centre a couple weeks later on June 26.

Officers from St George Police Area Command commenced an investigation after police were alerted to the alleged assaults.

A 45-year-old Monterey man was arrested at the medical clinic on Friday following further inquiries.

He was taken to St George Police Station and was charged with sexually touch another person without consent and sexual intercourse without consent.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on Friday.
Inquiries are ongoing.
