A man will front court on Thursday, accused of sending Sydney police officers messages containing threats of violence.
A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly sending Sydney police officers electronic messages threatening violence against them.
Detectives from the Fixated Persons Investigation Unit launched an investigation on Tuesday after an officer received a message containing alleged threats of violence towards Surry Hills police.
A 56-year-old man was arrested at a property on Belvoir St, Surry Hills, just before 10am on Wednesday.
His phone was seized for forensic analysis.
He was taken to Surry Hills police station and charged with giving false information to a person regarding a property in danger and using a carriage service to menace, harass and offend.
The accused was refused bail and is due to appear before Central Local Court on Thursday.
