Rideshare driver accused of sexually touching teenager in Sydney’s inner west
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually touched by a rideshare driver who was taking her home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A rideshare driver will front court accused of sexually touching a teenager in Sydney’s inner west in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 16-year-old girl had booked a trip home with the rideshare service from Haberfield just before 3am on Sunday, and police allege the 31-year-old driver sexually touched her at the end of the trip.
She reported the incident to police, who launched an investigation.
The man has been charged with sexually touching another person without consent at Auburn Police Station on Monday.
He was refused bail and will appear in Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
