Police investigating Easter morning stabbing in southern Sydney
A man was sent to hospital with serious injuries to his body after being stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police are investigating the stabbing of a young man at Wolli Creek in southern Sydney on Sunday morning.
The man in his 20s was rushed to St George Hospital on Easter Sunday after suffering stab wounds to his body.
NSW Police said they were called to Brodie Sparks Drive around 5am after reports a man had been injured.
Police said two men entered a carpark on Arncliffe Street where they were approached by two men.
Following an argument, the two men were chased before being injured in an altercation.
One man was treated for stab wounds and taken to hospital, with his condition described as serious but stable.
A second man was also treated for facial injuries after allegedly being assaulted.
Several roads around the area were blocked off while officers investigated, with buses diverted away from the Wolli Creek Train Station.
“Officers from St George Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are conducting inquiries into the incident,” NSW Police said in a statement.
