Police conduct line search after 2yo’s death in rural NSW
Police are searching a rural NSW property for clues after a two-year-old boy died with head injuries in December 2023.
Police have combed a rural property after a two-year-old boy’s untimely death last year.
Following the child’s death on December 3, 2023, a squad of detectives conducted a line search at the property in Binya, about 30km northeast of Griffith, on March 19.
The search is part of the police’s ongoing investigation into the child’s death and they have also turned to the public for assistance.
The toddler was taken to Griffith Base Hospital on December 1, 2023, suffering from significant head injuries. He was flown to Sydney Children’s Hospital but died two days later.
Police were notified of the boy’s death and established Strike Force Burtundy to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the child in the week prior to his death in the townships of Leeton, Binya and Griffith, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
