Police appeal for information on missing Sydney businessman John Coutsoudes

There are fears for the safety of a former business partner of Pauline Hanson after he went missing in Sydney’s south last night.

Police hold concerns for the welfare of a Sydney businessman and former associate of One Nation founder Pauline Hanson after an extensive search of a Sutherland Shire suburb where he went missing on Sunday.

John Coutsoudes, 43, was last seen leaving his home on Old Taren Point Road, Taren Point, about 6.30pm on Sunday.

Mr Coutsoudes left the Taren Point home in a Black Range Rover Evoke with NSW registration plate LMC70M.

Mr Coutsoudes was due to return shortly after but when he didn’t return he was reported missing to police at 8.30pm.

A short time later, officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command launched an investigation into his whereabouts.

Despite an extensive search of Taren Point, Mr Coutsoudes could not be found. Police and family members have concerns for Mr Coutsoudes’ welfare and are appealing to the public for information.

He is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, about 190cm tall and of medium build, with brown hair, brown eyes and facial stubble.

Mr Coutsoudes was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

Anyone who may have information on his whereabouts or may have seen his car is urged to contact Sutherland Shire Police Area Command on 02 9542 0899 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

In the early 2000s, Mr Coutsoudes was a part owner in the fish and chip shop, Sylvania Waters Seafood.

It was made famous by Ms Hanson who was then running for a position in the NSW upper house.

Mr Coutsoudes is the owner of popular Kareela Grocer, which won the Sydney Markets Fresh Awards’ Greengrocer of the Year accolade last year.
