The tragic nurse who plunged to her death after falling from the balcony of a seventh storey apartment building in Parramatta has been pictured for the first time.

Newlywed Deekshya Dahal, 39, suffered from catastrophic injuries after falling from the apartment that she shared with husband Labrinda Subedi on January 2.

Ms Dahal worked as a registered nurse and had recently married Mr Subedi in Nepal.

According to The Daily Telegrapha triple-0 call was made from Ms Dahal’s phone two hours before her death but only muffled voices could be heard.

An operator called back and spoke to Mr Subedi and said police would stop by and check on everyone but before officers arrived another call was made to triple-0 by a bystander who saw Ms Dahal dangling from the balcony.

A minute later, Ms Dahal was found by emergency services after having fallen into a garden bed. She died at the scene.

Mr Subedi was taken in for questioning by detectives but later released without charges.

His family told The Daily Telegraph that Ms Dahal’s death had been a “terrible accident.”

“Labrinda, he is a broken man … they were in love, not long married, very happy … planned to have children,” Mr Subedi’s brother-in-law Sushant said.

“Now he has to plan a funeral.”

Supt Vincent confirmed the initial phone call didn’t warrant an emergency response, but a strike force had been established to investigate the two hour delay before police arrived.

It will also investigate the circumstances of Ms Dahal’s death.

Police are examining CCTV cameras from the apartment building and neighbouring premises as part of the investigation.
