NSW Police search for answers in the 2021 fatal shooting of underworld figure Amar Kettule
Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with inquiries into the fatal shooting of an underworld figure in 2021.
Homicide detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with inquiries into the fatal shooting of underworld figure Amar Kettule in Sydney’s southwest.
The 34-year-old died after being shot at Ware St, Fairfield about 2.40am on January 10, 2021.
Two years on from his death, the State Crime Command’s homicide squad has renewed calls for anyone with information to come forward.
Strike force detectives had previously released vision of a dark-coloured Jeep Cherokee believed to be used in the shooting as part of an appeal for information in January 2021.
Police then released further CCTV in December 2021 showing two men they believed could assist with inquiries and a white Toyota Corolla hatchback.
On Wednesday, police released CCTV of a third man seen in the vicinity of Ware St around the time of the shooting.
Police believe the man could assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of fair complexion, with short dark/black hair, wearing a black jumper with a large white Lacoste logo on the front and shorts.
Homicide squad commander Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said investigators remained committed to finding answers for the Kettule family.
“Strike force detectives hope this renewed appeal for information and additional CCTV is going to encourage anyone who may know something about this murder to come forward,” he said.
“As investigators continue to follow and exhaust every line of inquiry into Mr Kettule’s death, I want to remind the public that no piece of information is too small.
“Your tip could be the missing piece of the puzzle in this investigation.”
Anyone with information that may assist investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
