NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller’s son charged with drink driving on suspended licence
The 20-year-old son of NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller will face court after being pulled over by police at 3am on Sunday.
The son of NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller will face court next month after allegedly drink driving on suspended P plates.
Jacob Fuller, 20, allegedly stopped short of a Random Breath Test site just before 3am on Sunday in Waterfall, in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command had been pulling vehicles over on the Princes Highway at the time.
She said police approached the young man’s car and he produced a provisional licence.
“After returning a positive roadside reading, the driver was subject to a breath analysis which allegedly returned a reading of 0.031,” the spokeswoman told news.com.au today.
“Subsequent checks of the man’s licence revealed it was currently suspended.”
The 20-year-old was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice to answer the charges of driving with special range PCA (blood alcohol concentration above .02 and below .05) and driving on a road while licence suspended.
Mr Fuller is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday, October 17.
Police laid 260 drink driving charges during the citywide Operation Nabbed on the weekend.
An additional 119 traffic charges were laid along with 1928 traffic infringement notices, NSW Police said in a statement yesterday.
More than 75,000 breath tests were carried out between 9pm and 4am on Friday and Saturday.
They were focused on the M2, M4, M5, M7, M1 and Princes Highway — where Mr Fuller was stopped one hour before the operation ended.
