NSW Police charge man for alleged domestic violence stabbing murder in Kingswood

A man will face court for the brutal alleged stabbing murder of a 21-year-old woman in another domestic violence shock.

New NSW domestic violence laws coming into effect

NSW Police have charged 21-year-old Jeremaia Tuwai with domestic violence murder for the brutal alleged slaying of a 21-year-old woman in Sydney.

The alleged domestic violence murder hit Kingswood in the city’s west on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a share home on the Great Western Highway where they found a 21-year-old woman with two stab wounds to her chest.

Paramedics worked for an extensive period of time to save the woman but she died at the scene.

Following her death, Detective Superintendent Trent King said police launched a search for a man believed to have been in a domestic relationship with the woman.

“It’s alleged that a male in a domestic relationship with this person is the perpetrator of this incident and had caused those injuries to the female. He is now wanted in relation to her death,” he said.

Mr Tuwai was taken into custody at 7.10pm on Monday evening and he will face Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.
