Counter terrorism police have arrested a 19-year-old man allegedly in possession of knives and tactical equipment outside a politician’s office in a suspected terror threat.

The arrest took place on Wednesday afternoon after police received a concern-for-welfare report about the man, who was outside Labor MP Tim Crakanthorp’s office.

Sky News reports the teenager had allegedly written a large anti-semitic manifesto which had been distributed to multiple people about committing a mass-killing.

It is understood the teenager walked into Mr Crakanthorp’s officer briefly while he was wearing the ballistic vest and was in possession of multiple knives.

The teenager was allegedly wearing a helmet and tactical gear when he was arrested.

Mr Crakanthorp issued a statement confirming the man had entered his office.
