A fourth person has been charged after a Canberra man was allegedly shot in the doorway of his home as he opened the front door.

Glenn Walewicz, 48, was killed after answering the door of his Mansfield Place unit just before midnight on June 10 last year.

ACT Police said a woman was inside the Phillip home at the time of the incident and called emergency services for help.

However, the victim died at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest.

It was revealed on Saturday a fourth person, a 24-year-old NSW man, will front the ACT Magistrates Court over the matter.

The Baradine resident was extradited before being arrested and charged with joint commission murder on Thursday.

“The man will be the fourth person arrested this week by ACT Policing Homicide Team detectives in relation to this murder,” an ACT Police spokesman said.

Just four days ago, a 38-year-old Holt woman was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

Earlier this week, a teenager, 18, was charged with Mr Walewicz‘s murder and faced the ACT Children’s Court on Monday. He was aged 17 at the time of the alleged shooting.

A 19-year-old man was last week charged with accessory to murder after a car allegedly driven by the teen was found near the victim's home.
