Charges have been laid after a man was stabbed in the neck and back in a brutal attack at his home in Sydney’s inner west.

A man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed another man he knew at a home in inner west Sydney.

Police found a 28-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck and back after they were called to Stanmore just after 1am on Sunday.

He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he has had surgery and is in a stable condition.

A 24-year-old man who was arrested at the scene has been charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He has been refused bail to appear at Newtown Local Court today.
