Man charged with sexual assault of 76yo woman at aged care home
Police have charged a man after he allegedly broke into an aged care facility and sexually assaulted a 76-year-old resident.
A man has been charged following the alleged sexual assault of an elderly woman at an aged care facility.
Police allege a man entered an aged care home in Coffs Harbour on NSW’s north coast about 2.30am on Monday and sexually assaulted a 76-year-old woman.
It’s alleged the man gained access to the facility, entered the woman’s room, assaulted her and then fled the scene on foot.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taking her to hospital with minor injuries.
The 29-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and charged with aggravated sexual assault and break and enter with intent.
The man was refused bail and will face court on Friday.
