Man charged with animal cruelty and bestiality at Sydney school

A man has been charged with repeatedly breaking into a western Sydney school and having sex with the goats kept on campus.

A man has been charged with committing acts of animal cruelty and bestiality at a school in Sydney’s west over the last month.

Police on Thursday said they had been closely investigating the case after receiving reports of alleged break and enters at St Marys Senior High School.

Police now allege a man assaulted goats and sheep housed within a farm on the premises between April 27 and May 18.

Extensive investigations led to police arresting the 43-year-old at the school at about 7.50pm on Wednesday.

He has been charged with 14 offences, including break and enter, commit an act of cruelty upon an animal, enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, and bestiality.

He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on Thursday.
