Man, 34, charged with murder after 48yo found unconscious inside Ryde unit dies
A man has died after being found unconscious inside a Sydney unit, with another man now charged with murder.
A man has been charged with murder after the death of another man who was found unconscious inside a unit in Sydney’s northwest.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Curzon St, Ryde just after 5pm on Saturday after reports of an alleged assault.
A 48-year-old man was found unconscious inside the property and treated at the scene before being transported to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
He was declared deceased in hospital.
A crime scene was established and an investigation launched into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
Police then arrested a 34-year-old man at a home on O’Sullivan Rd, Leumeah at about 2.10pm on Sunday.
He has since been charged with murder and contravening prohibition/restriction in AVO.
The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Monday.
