Four people have been charged after police allegedly uncovered a magic mushrooms lab in an inner-city Sydney apartment.
Detectives and chemical-specialist police raided the Pyrmont property on Tuesday, hauling out plastic storage containers of mushrooms from what NSW Police say is the largest magic mushroom lab found in a residential apartment.
Images released by police show at least 12 plastic storage containers were taken from the Pyrmont apartment, some containing mushrooms which appear to be still growing.
Search warrants were also executed at Oatlands, Campsie, Epping, Rydalmere, West Ryde and Pyrmont during the operation, allegedly seizing a large amount of prohibited drugs including 100 bags of magic mushrooms.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested at the Pyrmont apartment and has since been charged with five offences relating to the supply of large commercial quantities of drugs.
Footage released by police shows a black Mercedes sedan being pulled over at Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday morning, where a 45-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were also arrested in connection with the bust.
Images show police uncovering a substance that appears to be white powder wrapped in plastic and stashed inside an Amazon parcel, and thick wads of $50 notes.
A third man, aged 28, was also arrested on Tuesday.
They all now face several drug-related charges.
All four co-accused have been denied police bail, with the woman due to appear in Downing Centre Local Court and her co-accused in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday.
Police with expertise in chemicals from the drug and firearms squad, forensics, and firefighter crews disassembled the laboratory.
