Five men arrested in dramatic scenes after Sydney man allegedly kidnapped in broad daylight
Dramatic photos show the moment five men were arrested over an alleged kidnapping from a park in broad daylight.
Five men have been arrested in dramatic raids after a 20-year-old was allegedly forced into a car in broad daylight.
Police allege two men confronted the 20-year-old man at Gore Creek Reserve on Sydney’s lower north shore on October 14.
He was allegedly forced into a car and taken to an unknown location. Police were told he was threatened, assaulted and then released.
Detectives arrested four men aged between 27 and 33 at a service station in West Ryde about 2pm on Friday.
A 24-year-old-man was arrested at a Macquarie Park, with police seizing items including tasers and cash.
He was charged with taking or detaining a person in company with intent to obtain advantage, possessisson and use offensive weapon with a permit, supplying an indictable quantity of prohibited drug and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.
Others charged following the raids include a 32-year-old Eastwood man, a 31-year-old Linfield man, a 27-year-old Eastwood man.
Those four were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
The fifth man, a 33-year-old, is in hospital under police guard after he was bitten by a dog.
