Bonnyrigg Heights: Teenager stabbed with machete during horror home invasion

Police are on the hunt for two masked men who broke into a home in Sydney’s west before stabbing a teenager with a machete.

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after he was stabbed with a machete during a shocking home invasion.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Simpson Road in Bonnyrigg Heights just after 1am Wednesday.

Police were told two masked men, armed with a hammer and a machete, broke into the home before stabbing the 17-year-old occupant.

They then fled the scene.

Paramedics treated the teenager at the property before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

He has undergone surgery, police said.
