Altercation with diners sparks all-in brawl in Sydney’s southern suburbs

A violent brawl has erupted outside a restaurant in Sydney’s southern suburbs, with police investigating.

Wild footage has emerged of a violent brawl between up to 10 men, who launched kicks and punches at each other outside a restaurant in Sydney’s southern suburbs.

The violent melee was sparked about 10pm on Sunday when two men appeared to exchange words along a dining strip on Bay St in Brighton-Le-Sands.

Footage captured by stunned residents showed up to 10 men became involved in the brawl after one man wearing a blue jumper and another in a red hoodie were heard yelling at each other.

The man in the red hoodie was knocked to the ground multiple times as he was punched and kicked by members of the large group.

No injuries had been reported, but investigations into the brawl were ongoing, a NSW Police spokesperson said on Monday.

“About 10pm (Sunday), emergency services were called to Bay St, Brighton-Le-Sands, following reports of an affray,” they said.

“On arrival, officers from St George Police Area Command were told that up to 10 men were involved in a brawl.

“Officers conducted a search of the area and are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
