A woman has been charged with “predatory driving” after a horror crash that claimed the lives of four people.

A woman accused of “predatory driving” will face court after a horrific crash that killed a woman and three passengers earlier this year.

NSW Police allege the tragic circumstances arose when the rear door was kicked at a home on Cudgel Street in Yanco, near Leeton in the NSW Riverina region, after 11pm on April 4.

The resident, Tania Murphy, was allegedly threatened inside her home around 15 minutes before she was killed in a fatal crash on Research Rd.

The Hyundai Getz she was driving hit a pole and rolled down an embankment before landing on its roof in a water channel.

The 36-year-old and her three passengers were all killed before paramedics could arrive on the scene.

She was remembered as a “wonderful person” and a “great friend” who “would do anything for her family”.

A crime scene was established with the assistance of specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Following extensive police inquiries, a 50-year-old woman was arrested at Griffith Police Station on Friday.

She was charged with predatory driving, driver not disclosing identity of driver/passenger as required, and hindering an investigation serious indictable offence of other.

The middle-aged woman was refused bail and will appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Saturday for the first time.

A 32-year-old man known to the woman was also arrested following the quadruple fatal crash.

Ms Murphy’s boyfriend Dean Cluney was charged with two counts of stalking or intimidating someone with the intention of causing them to fear harm and one charge of aggravated break and enter.

He was refused bail and will remain in custody until he returns to court in June.
