A 14-year-old boy has been charged with assault and intimidation after he was allegedly found in possession of a gun.
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with a raft of offences including assault and intimidation after he was allegedly found in possession of a gun.
Police arrested the teenager in the NSW New England region on Friday afternoon following reports of an alleged domestic violence incident.
The 14-year-old boy had allegedly been in possession of a firearm after a violent altercation on October 16, police were told.
Officers executed a search warrant on a home, where they allegedly discovered a number of items including a knife and a motorbike.
The teen was taken to Narrabri Police Station and charged with seven offences, including being armed with the intent of committing an indictable offence.
He has been charged with domestic violence offences, including two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of destruction of property, stalking or intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical harm and common assault.
The 14-year-old was granted strict conditional bail to appear before a Children’s Court on October 31.
Police investigations are ongoing.
