NSW woman arrested over terror financing
A 40-YEAR-OLD woman from western Sydney has been taken into custody by the NSW counter terrorism team.
A WOMAN has been arrested in Sydney’s west over her alleged involvement in financing terrorism.
The 40-year-old was taken into custody by the NSW joint counter-terrorism team at Parramatta about 7.30am on Tuesday and is being interviewed.
Her arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation into the activities of several people alleged to be in involved in terrorist activities, police said.
The arrest is the result of the ongoing investigation Operation PEQIN. Operation PEQIN commenced in June 2015 to investigate the activities of several people alleged to be involved in terrorist activities.
