The truck driver has had his licence suspended after he allegedly blew more than five times the legal limit in Sydney’s inner west.
A truck driver has had his licence suspended after he allegedly drove at more than five times the legal limit and crashed into a police car.
Officers were called to Marrickville, in Sydney’s inner west, about 7.45pm on Monday following reports of a white Mitsubishi Pantech being driven in an erratic manner.
Police stopped the truck, but as they approached it rolled backwards and crashed into the front of the officers’ vehicle.
It’s alleged the 29-year-old driver then drove off and ran a red light before being pulled over again.
The Harris Park man was arrested and allegedly returned a reading of 0.238, more than five times the legal limit of 0.05.
He was charged with high-range drink-driving and had his licence suspended.
The man is expected to front court on December 1.
