Daycare worker arrested for allegedly sexually touching young child
Police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing a young child in a daycare centre.
A western Sydney childcare worker will remain in custody on remand after he was charged with sexually touching a child.
Quoc Phu Tong, 34, was refused bail in Penrith Local Court on Friday a day after being arrested at a Kemps Creek Warehouse.
Last month, detectives began investigating a report that a child under 10 years old had been sexually abused at a Sydney daycare centre.
He was arrested on Thursday and charged with intentionally sexually touching a child and common assault.
Mr Tong will reappear in court on October 25.
