CCTV shows moments before man killed in alleged ‘pre-arranged’ fight
CCTV footage has revealed the key moments before a man’s body was found on the street.
Footage has captured the moments before a man was allegedly murdered in a “pre-arranged” fight in Sydney’s west.
Police allege two men were involved in the fight before a body was found on Georgina Ave in Melonba, near Mount Druitt, about 8.45pm Friday.
A mother was walking along the footpath with her two children when they came across the horror scene.
Police allege the fight was in a home 700m from where the man’s body was found, before it was allegedly moved by car.
CCTV footage from the street shows a black car leaving the scene, 9News reports.
Officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command found a deceased 32-year-old local man with significant head and body injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man however he died at the scene.
Shortly after police were called to a nearby vehicle collision where it is alleged the driver didn’t stop and collided with a parked car.
Police allege a man had allegedly used the car to transport the deceased’s body to Georgina Crescent earlier in the evening.
Police patrolling the area found a 38-year-old man hiding in the bushes and arrested him.
A crime scene was identified and established at a residential premises nearby.
The 38-year-old man was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and was charged with murder following further inquiries.
Police will allege the two men were involved in a pre-arranged fight at the home before the injured man was allegedly driven to a nearby street.
The man was left there until a member of the public found him.
The 38-year-old has been refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
