A MAN has been released from police custody after allegedly beating a woman and her partner with tyre iron and breaching an apprehended violence order.

Robert Andrew Mann was granted bail on Thursday where he faced five charges regarding a shocking incident that was caught on camera

The footage does not show the man’s face and it is understood Mr Mann denies any involvement.

The 30-year-old is accused of setting upon a woman in a Parramatta car park, 26, believed

to be his ex partner, before he was tasered by police.

Shocking footage broadcast by Channel 7 showed the woman being violently pulled for her car and running from her attacker who was armed with a steel rod.

The man in the video then appears to then attack the person remaining in the car, before returning his attention to the woman.

In the video, the man can be heard shouting “thought you got away from me, didn’t you?” as he stands over the woman. A horrified witness told Seven News she was worried the man inside the car had been killed.

The woman and her partner who had been in the car with her, were treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
