A four-year-old who was killed after being hit by a car has been identified.

Ace was hit by a Ford Sedan on Glossop Street at St Marys, in Sydney’s west, on Monday.

He has since been remembered as a “kind-hearted” boy who loved dinosaurs and cars.

A GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for his family’s funeral expenses.

The page was set up by family friend Jo Blair.

“We are hoping to raise some money to assist them with the funeral costs and while the family grieve for this unimaginable loss,” Ms Blair wrote on the page.

“His bright light will not be forgotten and the world seems darker without him.”

Ms Blair said he would be especially missed by his big sister Ari.

“Ace you will forever be the first thing they think of when they wake up and the last they remember before falling to sleep,” she said.

About $7000 has already been raised.

Ace was treated by paramedics after being hit by the car but died en route to hospital.

The male driver was taken to Nepean hospital for mandatory testing.

NSW Police are investigating.

“A crime scene has been established and police have commenced an investigation into the incident,” a statement by NSW Police said.
