ABOUT 30,000 Territorians are missing from the electoral roll, with the Northern Territory election just six weeks away.
NT Electoral Commissioner Iain Loganathan said NTEC representatives would be out at shows across the Territory to give voters the opportunity to update their enrolment.
“I want to encourage all Territorians to take part in our robust democracy and make their opinion count,” Mr Loganathan said.
“There’s only one way to do that: enrol and vote.
“The NTEC will also be at the Darwin show in the Foskey Pavillion.
“(They will be) ready to assist Territorians with any enrolment or election queries.
“For those who won’t be at the show, they can still enrol to vote or update their details online in a few minutes via our website ntec.nt.gov.au.
“To make their opinion count, Territorians need to be correctly enrolled by Wednesday 10 August when the electoral roll closes.
“However, if Territorians enrol or update their details by 31 July, they go into a draw to win an iPad mini 4.”
