Seven-year-old girl killed after falling from moving car
A seven-year-old girl has been killed after falling from a moving vehicle and sustaining serious head injuries.
A child has been killed after she fell from a moving vehicle in the Northern Territory.
Police are investigating into the incident that initially left the seven-year-old girl with serious head injuries.
She was travelling with her father and several other people in a vehicle east of Harts Range — about 215 km northeast of Alice Springs — at about 4pm on Sunday.
It was during that journey that police believe the child fell from the moving vehicle.
She was first taken to the Harts Range clinic before being flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Crash investigators travelled to the area to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Investigations continue.
