One Red Centre earring and brooch maker has received recognition from one of Australia’s top people – the Prime Minister.
Hunter and Co Designs – based in Alice Springs – has made it all the way to Canberra, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese rocking one of the brand’s brooches.
But the brooches Hunter and Co designs create are a bit different: they’re made and designed by children, with mum helping out.
Naomi Hunter calls herself the founder of the jewellery making company, but the real stars are 8-year-old Grace Hunter, 6-year-old Evie Hunter and 4-year-old Archie Hunter.
“They can’t believe my kids make them,” Ms Hunter said when customers find out who’s behind the quirky designs.
Ms Hunter currently has a stall at the Alice Springs Show with creations on display for purchase.
