Neil Pharaoh: Is Labor’s candidate for Prahran Australia’s hottest politician
THOSE guns, that puppy, the blue steel stare. Sorry, Jason Clare — we’ve found Australia’s new hottest politician.
HE’S passionate about education, campaigns to end puppy farms and is a staunch advocate for gay rights and social justice.
But that’s not why the internet has decided Labor’s candidate for the inner city electorate of Prahran, Neil Pharaoh, is its new favourite politician.
It’s more to do with the blinding smile, those amazing arms and they way they cradle that heart-meltingly adorable puppy.
Sorry, Jason Clare, we think we may have found Australia’s new hottest politicians.
The Pharaoh of our Hearts, as one adoring Facebook fan dubbed the 30-year-old is one of Labor’s young guns, and his puppy is Bruce.

A former director at the Foundation for Young Australians and one of the driving forces behind the campaign to change the ALP’s national platform on gay marriage, Pharaoh has been chosen to fight to win back the inner city seat from the Libs come November 29.
If the social media vote alone is anything to go by, he could be in with a shot.
“Cute dog with even cuter man — heaven!!!” wrote one Facebook fan.
“With those guns I think the gay vote is secured,” another commented on the puppy-cradling pic.
@matwhi @tamasys lol, I can confirm @Neilpharaoh is lovely in person too.

Pharaoh has unofficially taken the title bestowed on ALP member for Blaxland Jason Clare by women’s magazine Cleo last year on its controversial “sexiest men in parliament” list.
After being awarded the honour, Clare was described by political rival and now foreign minister Julie Bishop as “the Rob Lowe of politics”.
