Kmart Australia has offered readers a first-look at its Black Friday deals – including $25 portable ice baths, $49 LED light therapy masks, $149 iPhones as well as heavily discounted toys, appliances, homewares and more.
With one week to go until Black Friday sales, Kmart influencer Helen James warned shoppers to plan ahead for the fierce sales.

The @i_heart_kmart Instagram influencer anticipated intense competition for Kmart’s top deals – announced Friday at 8am – as shoppers try to ease holiday financial pressures by getting their Christmas shopping done early.
Kmart’s “100 unmissable deals” include a list of products exclusive to this event including $25 ice baths, $49 LED masks, iPhones from $149, $49 giant Suishmallows, and more, with the sale live now.
“I wouldn’t be taking my time with the Kmart sale, it could be online or you could go in the store, but I’d be ready that morning to shop” James said.
“Traditionally, a lot of things go very quickly, especially popular items.
“As a family of five, we obviously love to buy our kids gifts at Christmas, but … everyone’s feeling the pinch right now with the cost of living so for me, I love being able to go online, look at the prices and write a list to make sure that I’m not going overboard, but I’m getting things I know my husband and my kids will really love.”
While the Black Friday and Cyber Monday events are considered the “most significant” event of the year for Australian retailers, 75 per cent of Australian said they would be more conscious of their spending this year, with Christmas shopping being the primary motivator for those taking part in the sales, according to the latest ShopFully survey.
“The rising cost of living is hitting Aussie’s hard, this is reflected in the decrease in what Aussie’s are planning to spend this sale season,” ShopFully Australia manager Brendan Straw said.

He said despite this hesitation, Aussie shoppers were expected to spend $6.36 billion over the four day long sales – a three per cent increase from 2022.
“Aussie shoppers are primarily motivated to get their Christmas shopping done early (52.4 per cent) and find great deals (49.9 per cent),” he said.
Kmart CEO John Gualtieri said they expected customers to leverage Black Friday to fulfil their Christmas lists and secure major gifts.
“We are proud to offer great gifting options at low prices every day that customers can rely on, but have introduced some fresh products and deals for Black Friday with in-demand brands like Apple, DeLonghi, Sistema and LEGO to name a few, and we expect these to be popular this year,” he said.
“Customers flocked to our electronic skincare last year, so we’ve brought an even bigger range into 2023.
“The Refurbished iPhone 8 and 11 is another one that we feel will be popular. Leaning into the in-market trends, we think the Portable Ice Bath and Scalloped Floor Mirror will be fan favourites.”
