Five people killed in horror crash in the Northern Territory
Five people have died in an horrific high-speed crash after their car left the road in the Northern Territory’s remote Kakadu National Park.
Five people have been died following a car crash in the Northern Territory’s Kakadu National Park.
Police were called to the scene just before 10am on Monday following reports of a crash 60kms west of Jabiru on the Arnhem Highway.
Jabiru Police attended the scene where the vehicle had left the road, rolled and crashed into nearby trees.
“Tragically, five persons were found deceased upon arrival,” Northern Territory Police said in a statement.
“Investigators are currently working to establish the identities of the deceased, so that families can be notified.”
The Arnhem Highway was closed to all traffic until 4pm yesterday while police worked to identify and recover the deceased.
9 News reports the five people inside the car were Indigenous men.

The 2019 Northern Territory Road Toll now stands at 28 compared to 47 this time last year.
