“We are very conscious of the sadness surrounding this incident and are taking the time today to speak with those with whom this caregiver worked closely. Both to advise them of this unfortunate news and to offer support in the form of access to peer support and counselling services.

“We will also be communicating with our broader caregiver community to ensure they are aware of the support services that we are able to offer. We offer our deepest condolences to the family.”

Meanwhile, forensic police officers returned to the crime scene on Robinson Rd on Tuesday morning as they continue combing the property for evidence.

At the time of writing, no one has been taken into police custody over the matter.
