Police have confirmed there is no longer an immediate threat to public safety.

Inspector Vic Hussey said another man had been taken into custody who was assisting with inquiries.

He said the Tactical Response Group and police canine unit had attempted to track other men suspected of being allegedly involved.

“As far as the other individuals that made off into the bush, their whereabouts at this stage is still unknown, but we are strongly of the opinion there is no threat to the community from those individuals,” he said.

“There are a lot of moving parts at the moment to this investigation,” he said.

“So I can’t make any comment in respect to that.”
