Man arrested over three alleged attempts to entice children into car

Multiple children reported to police that a man had allegedly tried to entice them into his car as they were walking home from school.

A man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to entice multiple children into his vehicle in the northeast of Perth.

Just before 3pm on Wednesday 21 September, a man allegedly approached a number of children walking home from school near Ellenbrook.

It’s alleged he tried to entice the children - all aged under 13 - into his grey Toyota Camry near Stanbury Crescent and Delapre Road.

None of the children entered the vehicle and all the incidents were reported to police.

A 19-year-old man was later arrested at an Ellenbrook residence.

He was charged with three counts of breaching bail conditions.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad are continuing their investigations and will appear in court on October 7.
