Jesse Baird, Luke Davies: Beau Lamarre-Condon’s last stop before handing himself in

A home in a secluded Sydney suburb has been locked to public access after intense media interest in the area over the past week.

One of the last places alleged killer cop Beau Lamarre-Condon visited before handing himself in to his police colleagues was the idyllic waterside suburb where he grew up.

It had been four days since Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird – who the accused killer had casually dated in the past – and his partner Luke Davies were allegedly murdered.

Bordered by national park and glittering waterways, the secluded Grays Point has long been home for Constable Lamarre-Condon’s immediate and extended family.

He grew up in a house situated on the main road into Grays Point, going to school at nearby Kirrawee High.

A neighbour, who was in Lamarre-Condon’s sister Jamila’s year at the same school, said the family moved out of the home when the siblings became adults.

In the same suburb, about two minute’s drive away, Lamarre-Condon’s uncle Brian, aunt Karen and two adult male cousins live on the water at Heron Pl.

Around the corner is Plover St, where Lamarre-Condon allegedly ditched the van police say he used to move the bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies. The van has since been seized by police.

Police will allege in court that Lamarre-Condon visited his relatives’ house before heading to Bondi police station with his uncle and handing himself in.

It is not suggested that any members of the family had assisted Lamarre-Condon in any way.

Police have been adamant the alleged double murderer acted alone.

This week, news.com.au visited the three-bedroom home multiple times in an attempt to speak to the family.

With a Lexus sitting in the driveway and a yellow speedboat out the front, its sweeping water views could be seen from the street. The home has an estimated value of $2 million.

A few hours after news.com.au’s first visit, the gate access to the front door had been fitted with a padlock.

Brian Lamarre is a director of an investment firm based in the Sutherland area.

His wife Karen is the principal at a Catholic school in Mascot, having previously held the same role at another Catholic school in the shire.

A snap from 2020 shows the couple’s two sons, Jackson and criminal lawyer Emerson, at a celebration for their cousin – a then-heavily pregnant Jamila Lamarre-Condon.

“La familia,” the picture is captioned.

news.com.au has attempted to contact several members of the Lamarre family.

Like their mother Coleen Lamarre, both Lamarre-Condon siblings were employed by the NSW Police at one point.

Jamila Lamarre-Condon was in 2022 sacked on her birthday over her refusal to take a COVID-19 vaccine while pregnant, which she later challenged at the Industrial Relations Commission.

Her unfair dismissal case was thrown out after the commission found her requests to management for further information about the vaccine were a “ruse, designed to avoid or at least delay” the consequences of not complying with an official direction to be vaccinated.

Their father is understood to be living in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, working as a security guard.

After his arrest, senior police confirmed on Tuesday that Constable Lamarre-Condon remained suspended without pay.

Commissioner Karen Webb said this week he had since been served with a notice signalling his employment was being terminated.

The 28-year-old remains in custody ahead of his next court appearance in April.
