Homicide police investigating two bodies found at suburban home
Homicide detectives have revealed the death of a man and a woman in a suburban home could be another domestic violence case.
The bodies of a man and his wife have been found at a home in Sydney’s south in a suspected murder-suicide.
Emergency services were called to Union St in Riverwood about 2pm on Sunday after the body of a man, aged 67, was found in a truck parked in the driveway.
It’s understood a witness outside the home saw him slumped over in the parked vehicle, alerting police.
When police entered the adjoining single-level property where they found the body of a 53-year-old woman inside.
Neither bodies is yet to be formally identified but the pair are married.
Police are treating the incident as a potential murder-suicide but expect the coroner will “make the final examination”.
A crime scene has since been established, with local police being assisted by the NSW Police State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
