A boy, accused of carrying out a shooting at a school in Perth’s outer north made an emergency call to triple-0 during the alleged incident.

The boy appeared in Perth Children’s Court for the second time on Tuesday, days after his first appearance and almost a week since the alleged incident at Atlantis Beach Baptist College in Two Rocks.

During Tuesday’s hearing, state prosecutor Brad Hollingsworth confirmed the boy had made a triple-0 call during the alleged incident, the transcript of which will be tabled as evidence as he opposes the bail application.

The 15-year-old is facing seven charges relating to allegedly firing three shots from a rifle at Atlantis Beach Baptist College.

Mr Hollingsworth also indicated communications between the boy and friends were also relevant as well as statements from teachers.

He also suggested the boy could be slapped with another charge of endanger life, health, or safety of a person due to two of the three bullets he’s alleged to have fired hitting a demountable classroom with staff and students inside.

The boy’s lawyer did not oppose any of the state’s evidence being sent to magistrate Alana Padmanabham ahead of the bail application hearing, which was adjourned until Wednesday afternoon so a psychiatrist could prepare a report on the boy’s mental state.

Appearing via video link from Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre, the boy, who can’t be named, will meet the psychiatrist on Wednesday morning, before the report is delivered to the court orally later in the day.

Western Australia Police allege the boy drove a behicle with two hunting rifles to the school on Breakwater Drive late on Wednesday morning, firing three shots from one of the guns that hit a demountable classroom.

No one was injured, and the boy was quickly arrested at the scene.

The boy first appeared before the same court on Friday, where the matter was adjourned until Tuesday to give supervised bail officers time to assess his parents and their family home to see if it was suitable.

His lawyer had also not had the opportunity to speak with him at the time.
